Big, fluffy, parasol-like blooms cover this low mounded shrub in June. Bluish- green leaves turn to an outstanding orange-red in the Fall. Likes full sun and moderate moisture.
Spreading by underground stolons, it favours riverbanks, lakeshores and sandy areas. Young branches are red-brown & hairy at first. Becomes brown to gray and smooth as it ages.
Highest level of disease resistance. Needs no spraying. Flowers vary from blush pink to butter yellow to creamy white. Blooms from mid-summer to fall. Good for m ass plantings.
