Spreading by underground stolons, it favours riverbanks, lakeshores and sandy areas. Young branches are red-brown & hairy at first. Becomes brown to gray and smooth as it ages.
Small shrub with extra fine small foliage, excellent for a hedge or foundation planting. Spring brings a showy display of blooms that last to late fall.
Large, solid, globular heads flower freely from mid-Summer until frost. Flowers are produced on new wood. Very suitable for Kawartha Lakes Region, Muskoka & Haliburton Area.
