Has masses of small yellow flowers followed by small edible purple, black or red fruit which ripen in fall. When ripe, fruit has a peppery taste and scent. The leaves have a strong spicy odor when rubbed or crushed. A male and female bush are needed to produce fruit.
Small shrub with extra fine small foliage, excellent for a hedge or foundation planting. Spring brings a showy display of blooms that last to late fall.
Large, solid, globular heads flower freely from mid-Summer until frost. Flowers are produced on new wood. Very suitable for Kawartha Lakes Region, Muskoka & Haliburton Area.
